TERMS & CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing Pass Point Training Ltd to provide your training course.
COURSE RESERVATIONS - Bookings are offered on a flexible basis and where available, dates and times to suit the clients’ requirements. Once a booking has been agreed, Pass Point Training Ltd will make arrangements for the provision of facilities, Instructors and materials. Any alterations made to the original may incur an additional cost.
COURSE BOOKING REQUIREMENTS - A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking and chosen dates on a course. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. The confirmation invoice and course acceptance letter will be sent to you by email or post. Any variances should be brought to our attention within 48 hours in writing to allow any amendments. Full and final payment is required prior to the start of the course.
COURSE FEES - We reserve the right to alter any course fees at any time. This will not affect those who have booked a course and have paid the required deposit.
PAYMENT METHODS – Payments can be made either by Cash, Cheques or BACS. Pass Point Training Ltd also accepts payment via PayPal. Please contact us direct for further information.
COURSE AMENDMENTS BY YOU– Occasionally, we understand candidates may require changes to their booking s. Pass Point Training Ltd will endeavour to accommodate the changes and offer alternative dates if reasonable notice ( a minimum of 14 days) is given, as logistical considerations will have to be dealt with, for which we reserve the right to charge a fee of £25 towards administrative costs. Where a candidate or customer decides to cancel completely, Pass Point Training Ltd reserves the right to charge a penalty as detailed below. All alterations or cancellations should be in writing. Where a candidate fails to attend at the agreed time, this will be treated as a cancellation and subject to full invoice charge.
NOTICE OF CANCELLATIONS:
4 weeks or less - loss of deposit
2 weeks or less - 75% of total course fees payable
1 week or less - 100% of total course fees payable
COURSE AMENDMENTS BY US - The likelihood of Pass Point Training Ltd being forced to alter or cancel your booking is uncommon. However, in an unlikely event, we will rearrange for a date to suit both parties. In the case of a change in arrangements, we will always ensure that the standard of any replacement is the equivalent. We cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss in these cases.
CANDIDATE SUBSTITUTION – It is acceptable to substitute suitable candidates for booked courses, if required. If you are able to notify us of the change prior to the course date it is appreciated.
SUITABILITY - It is your responsibility to ensure that you, or your nominated candidates, are suitable for the booked course. We embrace inclusively and try and adapt our training to accommodate everybody. However, people can be mentally or physically incapable of applying First Aid and, in these cases, would fail the course e.g. faint at the sight of blood.
ELIGIBILITY - Candidates must have a current and valid HSE First Aid at Work Certificate to be eligible for a re-qualification/refresher course. We require a copy of this certificate before the course starts. If you, or your nominated candidates, are ineligible for a booked course you will still be liable for the cost of the course.
CERTIFICATION - Candidates are required to attend the full course and to pass any practical and/or theoretical assessments to earn their certification. Some courses are time based. Candidates that do not achieve the required performance standard within the given time will fail the course. In the unlikely event that this happens we would be available to provide additional training, charged by the hour, to enable candidates to achieve the required standard.
ALTERNATIVE VENUES – Training may be provided at your own facility providing it meets suitable criteria. We may wish to see the training area prior to the course date and will arrange a viewing time and date, alternatively, a Suitability Questionnaire will be sent to you for you to complete.
CANDIDATES TO BRING WITH THEM:
· If you are attending a Re-Qualification course, please bring your current and valid First Aid at Work certificate.
· Photographic Identification (e.g. Driving Licence, Passport)
· Suitable comfortable clothing for First Aid courses – you will be asked to perform skills and lie on the floor to play the casualty in scenarios (i.e. skirts not advisable!!!)
· Lunch provisions for all day courses
· Balance or payment of course where applicable
COURSE TIMES – Most courses commence at 09:30 unless otherwise stated or requested. Candidates are requested to arrive 10 minutes prior to the course start time to ensure everyone is ready to commence on time.
REFRESHMENTS – Pass Point Training Ltd will provide light refreshments (drinks), unless otherwise stated or requested. Candidates are requested to bring lunch with them, although there are mobile snack vehicles which visit our own venue at lunchtime, which candidates may purchase food and drink (only available Monday to Friday). There are also other food outlets available just a short distance from site.
SUGGESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS - In the unlikely event of you being dissatisfied with your course, we would ask you to inform your instructor or Centre Manager, so that the matter can be addressed and dealt with at the earliest opportunity.
DATA PROTECTION – Pass Point Training Ltd complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and has a relevant Data Policy in place.
DISCLAIMER - Pass Point Training Ltd provides training to a professional standard to enable candidates to give first aid and to protect themselves whilst doing so. This training doesn’t make candidates into medical experts or invulnerable to injury and infection. We accept no liability whatsoever for the candidates’ health and well-being or that of any individuals they give first aid to, once candidates have finished their course.
